Beyond Craft.
Single-Estate Luxury.
Unlike brands that source anonymous beans from global merchants, our chocolate is born entirely on our family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon. By managing our own seed-to-bar ecosystem, we offer a level of single-origin purity and structural economic equity that mass-market and traditional craft blenders simply cannot replicate. This allows us to invest directly in our village collaborators, paying the Anker Living Wage, while offering your customers and guests a rare, uncompromised product that cannot be cross-shopped on standard retail shelves.
How it Works
It’s a philosophy that champions slow ways and ancient practices. It’s a quest for intimacy — between plants and people, body and spirit, heaven and earth.

FAQs
Getting started
Bantu Chocolate accepts applications from independent retailers, hospitality groups, specialty food distributors, wellness brands, and curated department stores. Complete our trade application form and our team will respond within 3 working days. We review fit based on channel, location, and brand alignment. If approved, we send our full linesheet, current pricing, and account setup details.
Our standard wholesale minimum order is £400 (GBP) or $500 (USD) for first orders, with no minimum on reorders above this threshold. Mixed-case orders across our SKUs are accepted. For distributors and international accounts, MOQs are agreed individually. Sample packs are available for qualified trade buyers.
Bantu Chocolate publishes case configurations and recommended retail prices openly. Wholesale unit pricing is shared on application via our linesheet, which is sent within one working day of a verified trade enquiry. We do not gate pricing behind long forms.
Product range and specification
Bantu Chocolate is a vertically integrated bean-to-bar craft chocolate maker and cocoa pulp beverage producer. Our wholesale range includes single-origin functional chocolate ritual collections (Delta Equinox for gut health, Karnak Solstice for vitality and energy, Philae Eclipse for hormone balance), cocoa pulp juice and kombucha (Boocha), chocolate spread, pure natural cacao powder, and cacao tea. All cacao is grown on our own family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon. Office-ready snack portions and full-size ritual bars are available across the chocolate range.
Functional chocolate is chocolate formulated to support a specific health or wellbeing outcome. Bantu Chocolate’s functional ritual collections are designed around three outcomes: gut health (Delta Equinox, suitable for IBS, IBD, and Crohn’s), vitality and energy (Karnak Solstice, with Earl Grey bergamot and cashew butter), and hormone balance (Philae Eclipse, with pistachio butter, dark chocolate, and date and peanut bars). All are vegan, made with certified organic ingredients, and built from single-origin Cameroon cacao grown on our own agroforestry estate.
Yes. Bantu Chocolate supplies Boocha, our cocoa pulp juice kombucha, plus cacao tea and cacao pulp fruit beverages, to specialty retailers, hospitality, and wellness brands. Cocoa pulp is the white fruit surrounding the cacao bean, traditionally discarded in industrial chocolate production. We ferment and bottle it as a low-sugar, antioxidant-rich beverage. Contact our wholesale team for current SKUs and availability.
Yes. Bantu Chocolate supplies chocolate spread, pure natural cacao powder, and bulk single-origin Cameroon cacao beans and nibs to professional kitchens, craft chocolate makers, food manufacturers, and wellness brands. All bulk product comes from the same family-owned agroforestry estate as our retail range. Contact our wholesale team for current availability and bulk pricing.
Every Bantu Chocolate bar is made with certified organic ingredients, is vegan, and contains no dairy. Our cacao is in the final stages of organic certification and is already farmed to organic and regenerative agroforestry standards. Bars are produced in a facility that handles tree nuts and peanuts. Full per-SKU allergen and ingredient information is published in our linesheet.
Bantu Chocolate bars carry a 9 to 12 month ambient shelf life from production, depending on SKU. Optimal storage is 15 to 18°C, relative humidity below 60%, away from direct sunlight and strong odours. Cocoa pulp beverages have a different shelf life and require refrigeration: see individual product spec sheets. Each case is marked with batch number, best-before date, and storage instructions.
Yes. Bantu Chocolate is single-origin, single-estate, and bean-to-bar. All cacao is grown on our own family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon, fermented and dried at origin, then shipped to our co-manufacturing partner for processing into chocolate. The full chain of custody is documented from tree to retail unit. We are also cacao farmers, which puts us in a small minority of UK chocolate makers operating end-to-end.
Cacao is grown, fermented, and dried on our own family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon. Bars and other products are manufactured by our co-manufacturing partner under HACCP-certified conditions.
International wholesale: UK, EU, USA, Gulf, Asia
Yes. Bantu Chocolate ships wholesale to the UK, European Union, United States, Asia, and Gulf Cooperation Council countries. We quote on EXW, FOB, or DDP terms depending on buyer preference. Customs documentation, including certificates of origin and commercial invoices, is provided for every international shipment.
US buyers can purchase Bantu Chocolate directly from our UK facility on DDP terms, or through our US distributor. Our US-facing labels follow the FDA Nutrition Facts Panel format and FALCPA allergen labelling requirements. We do not include ingredients restricted under California Proposition 65.
Bantu Chocolate offers EXW (ex-works UK), FOB (UK port), and DDP (delivered duty paid to buyer’s address) terms on international wholesale orders. For first-time international buyers, we recommend DDP for transparency. INCOTERMS are confirmed per order in the commercial invoice.
Bantu Chocolate ships to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other GCC states on a project basis. Cool-chain shipping is required and quoted per order. We are open to conversations with luxury hospitality groups, specialty grocers, wellness brands, and premium gifting agencies in the region.
Supply continuity, compliance, and 2026 procurement gates
Bantu Chocolate sources from our own family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon, not from the open commodity market. Cameroon’s growing conditions are geographically distinct from the Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire belt currently affected by climate disruption, disease, and ageing farms. Our regenerative agroforestry system (cacao grown under native canopy alongside companion species) builds further resilience against drought and pest pressure than monoculture cocoa farms. Because we own the estate and contract directly, our supply and pricing are insulated from spot-market volatility. This is a structural advantage for buyers planning beyond the next 12 months.
Bantu Chocolate is in the process of becoming EUDR-ready. We are collecting geolocation data and polygon mapping for every plot on our family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon and will supply a Due Diligence Statement reference number on request. The European Union Deforestation Regulation enforces from 30 December 2026 for large operators and 30 June 2027 for SMEs. We are preparing ahead of both deadlines.
Yes. Bantu Chocolate provides supply chain documentation for ESG and procurement teams, including farm geolocation, traceability records, wage and labour information, and packaging material certifications. This documentation supports buyer requirements under CSRD, IFRS S2, and similar frameworks. Contact our trade team for the latest pack.
Bantu Chocolate operates Beyond Fairtrade®. Fairtrade sets a minimum price for cocoa beans. We go further. Bantu Chocolate pays our growers and estate workers according to the Anker Living Wage benchmark, an independently calculated figure for what a worker in rural Cameroon needs to earn to afford a decent standard of living: housing, food, education, healthcare, and modest savings. In rural Cameroon, that benchmark is 135,729 CFA per month, approximately €207 / £176 / $223 (subject to exchange rates). This is roughly three times the agricultural minimum wage. Fairtrade protects the price of the bean. The Anker Living Wage protects the person who grew it. Our principle is “Empowerment Not Charity”: we do not run charity programmes, we pay a fair wage.
Yes. Our family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon is managed as a regenerative system. Cacao grows under native canopy alongside companion species rather than as a monoculture. This protects soil, supports biodiversity, sequesters carbon, and produces higher-quality cacao with more complex flavour development.
Yes. Bantu Chocolate is a woman-led, Black-founded, Cameroonian-heritage business led by founder Véronique Mbida. This is relevant for buyers reporting under supplier diversity frameworks. We can supply a one-page supplier diversity statement for procurement reporting on request.
Logistics and operations
Stock orders dispatched from our UK facility ship within 3 to 5 working days of order confirmation. Made-to-order production runs (including bespoke packaging or custom formats) require 6 to 8 weeks. We recommend Q4 stock orders be placed by end of September for guaranteed November delivery.
First orders are pro-forma. Established trade accounts may apply for Net 30 terms subject to credit reference checks. We accept bank transfer and card payment. Payment in GBP, EUR, or USD is accepted on international invoices.
Bantu Chocolate replaces or credits any product damaged in transit when reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photographic evidence. We do not accept returns on undamaged stock. Quality concerns relating to product (not transit) are addressed individually by our quality team.
Bantu Chocolate offers territory consideration on a case-by-case basis for distributors and anchor retail accounts. We do not offer blanket exclusivity at the retailer level. Our channel strategy is to balance specialty independents, hospitality, wellness brands, and select department stores rather than concentrate the brand in any single account.
Marketing and trade support
Trade accounts receive a stockist asset pack: high-resolution product photography, brand story copy, point-of-sale cards, social media assets, and quarterly content drops. We also offer staff training sessions (in-person or video) for hospitality, retail, and wellness teams, and run joint activations with anchor accounts on application.
Yes. Qualified trade buyers can request a sample pack via our trade application form. Samples are sent free to verified accounts (independent retailers, hospitality, hotels, members clubs, art galleries, distributors). For unverified or international enquiries, a refundable deposit covers shipping and is credited against the first order.
Wellness, hospitality, and ceremonial applications
Yes. Bantu Chocolate’s functional ritual collections are designed for the wellness market: Delta Equinox (gut health, IBS, IBD, Crohn’s), Karnak Solstice (vitality, energy, libido), and Philae Eclipse (hormone balance). We supply wellness brands, retreats, spas, and curated wellness retailers. Per-collection clinical-style information sheets are available for trade accounts.
Yes. Bantu Chocolate provides single-origin, minimally processed cacao from our own family-owned agroforestry estate, ideal for ceremonial use. Our estate-grown cacao maintains the natural theobromine and nutritional profile sought by facilitators. We supply bulk cacao blocks, cacao tea, and custom-portioned bars for retreats, workshops, and wellness events globally.
Yes. Bantu Chocolate curates bespoke “Welcome Suite” selections for luxury boutique hotels. Our plastic-free, compostable packaging aligns with eco-conscious hospitality standards. We work with hotel concierges and procurement on turn-down gifts, minibar selections, and artisan welcome boxes that reflect your property’s commitment to quality and ethics.
Yes. Founder Véronique Mbida is available for virtual or in-person origin storytelling sessions covering the Cameroon estate, regenerative agroforestry, Beyond Fairtrade® compensation, and the journey from tree to bar.
