    FAQs

    Ordering and customisation

What is the minimum order for corporate chocolate gifts?

Bantu Chocolate’s corporate gifting minimum is 25 units for standard configurations and 100 units for fully customised packaging. Mixed-SKU gift boxes drawn from our functional ritual collections and cacao products are available. Bespoke flavour runs above 500 units unlock additional customisation including custom box dimensions and printed inserts.

Yes. Bantu Chocolate offers three branding levels: custom belly band or sticker, custom printed insert card, and fully bespoke outer packaging with embossed or printed logo. Brand artwork is reviewed by our design team before production.

What is the maximum order size for corporate gifting?

Bantu Chocolate has fulfilled corporate orders up to 5,000 units in a single run. Lead times scale with volume: large orders require 6 to 10 weeks. For Q4 / Christmas gifting at scale, we recommend confirming the brief by end of September.

Can we order luxury corporate chocolate gifts in the United Kingdom?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate is a UK-based premium bean-to-bar chocolate brand supplying luxury corporate gifting across the United Kingdom, with same-island delivery and multi-address shipping for distributed workforces. International gifting (EU, USA, Gulf, Asia) is also available on a project basis.

Do you offer functional wellness gifts for employee wellbeing programmes?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate’s functional ritual collections are designed for corporate wellbeing gifting: Delta Equinox (gut health, suitable for IBS, IBD, Crohn’s), Karnak Solstice (vitality and energy), and Philae Eclipse (hormone balance). These work especially well for mental health awareness days, employee wellbeing initiatives, women’s health programmes, and burnout-recovery gifting. Companies are increasingly choosing functional gifts that genuinely support recipients rather than generic snacks.

    Delivery and logistics

How far in advance do I need to order corporate Christmas gifts?

For UK delivery in December, place orders by end of October for standard configurations and end of September for branded or bespoke runs. Earlier briefs allow more design iteration. Q4 capacity sells out, so we recommend reserving a slot in summer.

Can you ship corporate gifts to multiple addresses?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate supports multi-address dispatch for remote and distributed teams. Provide a spreadsheet of recipient names and addresses and we handle individual packing, labelling, and delivery. A surcharge applies above the base order. International multi-address shipping is quoted per project.

Do you ship corporate gifts internationally?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate ships corporate gifts internationally to the EU, USA, Gulf, and select Asian markets. Customs documentation is handled by our team. Recipient country import taxes are quoted in advance so there are no surprises on delivery. Cool-chain shipping is included on summer or hot-climate dispatches.

    Payment and procurement

Do you offer invoicing for corporate accounts?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate accepts purchase orders and offers Net 30 invoicing for established corporate accounts. Smaller or first-time orders can be paid by card or bank transfer. We can supply company details, VAT number, and supplier onboarding documentation for procurement teams on request.

Can you provide a formal quote for internal approval?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate provides itemised quotes within 2 working days of a brief. Quotes include unit cost, branding setup, delivery, VAT, and total. Quotes are valid for 14 days and structured for easy internal approval and procurement processing.

    Sustainability, ESG, and supplier diversity

Are your corporate gifts sustainable and ethically sourced?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate is Beyond Fairtrade® and operates as a vertically integrated, single-estate brand. Our corporate gifts are designed to help your company meet ESG targets aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Ethical sourcing and fair value: We practise regenerative agroforestry on our own family-owned estate in Cameroon. We pay our growers and workers according to the Anker Living Wage benchmark (135,729 CFA per month, approximately €207 / £176 / $223), supporting SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Plastic-free and compostable: Our gift pouches are compostable, outer paper is FSC-certified, and no plastic is used in our gift packaging. This supports SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

Environmental stewardship: Our regenerative agroforestry system protects biodiversity and restores ecosystems, contributing to SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).

Transparent reporting: We provide sourcing and impact documentation. Because our supply chain is transparent and our estate is owned by us, your purchase acts as a verifiable data point for your company’s ESG reporting.

    What does “Beyond Fairtrade®” mean?

Beyond Fairtrade® is Bantu Chocolate’s registered position on cocoa compensation. Fairtrade sets a minimum price for the cocoa commodity. We go further by paying our growers and workers according to the Anker Living Wage benchmark, an independently calculated figure for what a person needs to earn to afford a decent standard of living in rural Cameroon (housing, food, education, healthcare, savings). The benchmark is 135,729 CFA per month, approximately €207 / £176 / $223, roughly three times the agricultural minimum wage. Fairtrade protects the price of the bean. Beyond Fairtrade® protects the person who grew it.

Can your gifts support our ESG, CSRD, or supplier diversity reporting?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate provides corporate buyers with supplier information covering company ownership, cacao origin, farming practices, farmer payment approach (Anker Living Wage benchmark under Beyond Fairtrade®), environmental commitments, and certifications. This supports procurement teams preparing ESG assessments, supplier diversity records, and sustainability reporting. Companies should assess and use the information according to their own reporting frameworks.

Is Bantu Chocolate a diverse-owned supplier?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate is a diverse-owned business founded and led by Véronique Mbida. The brand represents diverse ownership through its woman founder, African heritage, and independent ownership structure. Bantu Chocolate works with organisations seeking to support diverse supplier networks, including businesses sourcing from women-led and minority-owned suppliers.

What is the story behind your chocolate?

Bantu Chocolate is a single-estate, single-origin, bean-to-bar chocolate brand made from cacao grown on our own family-owned agroforestry estate in Cameroon. Founder Véronique Mbida created the brand to change the way cocoa is valued, moving away from treating cocoa as a commodity and towards rewarding the people, land, and communities behind it.

Our approach is built on three principles: paying a fair value for cocoa under Beyond Fairtrade® compensation, practising regenerative agroforestry to protect and restore the ecosystem, and creating long-term opportunities through empowerment rather than charity.

In a world of ultra-processed chocolate and emerging lab-grown cocoa, we believe quality cannot be manufactured in a lab. It must be grown. While industrial chocolate is increasingly stripped and reformulated, we process our cacao gently. This preserves the authentic, complex notes of the Cameroonian soil and keeps the natural nutritional integrity of the bean intact.

    Dietary requirements and product detail

Are your corporate gifts suitable for vegan, dairy-free, and allergen-sensitive recipients?

All Bantu Chocolate bars are vegan, dairy-free, and made with certified organic ingredients. Bars are produced in a facility handling tree nuts and peanuts, so SKUs containing these allergens are clearly labelled. For corporate orders, we can configure boxes that exclude specific allergens (for example, nut-free or gut-friendly configurations) on request. The Delta Equinox collection is specifically designed to be gut-friendly and suitable for IBS, IBD, and Crohn’s recipients.

What chocolate is included in a corporate gift box?

Our corporate gift boxes are fully customisable. You can mix and match across our functional ritual collections (Delta Equinox, Karnak Solstice, Philae Eclipse), Boocha cocoa pulp kombucha, chocolate spread, cacao powder, and cacao tea. Standard boxes can be drawn from our curated selections, or you can choose specific SKUs based on recipient preferences, dietary requirements, or gifting theme.

Is the packaging recyclable and compostable?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate corporate gift pouches are compostable, the outer paper is FSC-certified, and no plastic is used in our gift packaging. We continue to reduce material weight and improve recyclability annually. Packaging certifications and lifecycle information are available for procurement scorecards.

    Use cases and configurations

Do you offer experiential or curated gifting beyond a standard box?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate offers tasting experiences (in-person and virtual), origin storytelling sessions led by the founder, cacao ceremonies, and curated paired gifts (chocolate with wine, tea, or spirits via partner brands). These work especially well for high-value client gifting, senior employee recognition, and wellness retreat amenity.

Can we order Black History Month or heritage-themed corporate gifts?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate is built on African heritage and the story of our family-owned Cameroonian estate. We work with corporate clients on culturally meaningful gifting for Black History Month, International Women’s Day, Africa Day, and other heritage moments. Booking lead times for these dates fill quickly: enquire two to three months ahead.

Can you provide gifts for client onboarding, employee milestones, or events?

Yes. Bantu Chocolate corporate gifting supports the full calendar: client onboarding welcome boxes, employee work anniversaries, deal close gifts, holiday gifting, wellness retreats, conference gifting suites, women’s health programme gifting, mental health awareness initiatives, and event amenity. Standing programmes with pre-agreed SKUs, packaging, and pricing are available for clients gifting throughout the year.
